Every day, an estimated 127 children in the UK become newly bereaved, amounting to 46,300 dependent children each year. Today, on Remembrance Day, we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire us all. At Rowland Brothers, we are especially mindful of those who rest far from home and work to bring comfort to families through compassionate, dignified repatriation services. We’re reminded of the powerful symbol of the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, created to honour the countless soldiers who laid down their lives without recognition, giving families a place to remember the lost and unknown. This tomb, like our work, reflects the importance of honouring loved ones, wherever they may rest, with dignity and respect.
