Last month, the amazing team at Clancy visited the Harefield Healing Garden, bringing their time, heavy machinery, and expertise to help create the new 'dry river bed' gravel garden outside the potting shed. Their contribution means volunteers at Harefield Healing Garden now have a dedicated space to clean and organise their gardening tools, propagate plants using the cold frame, and turn compost bins into 'free' compost for the garden. This effort will benefit the garden for years to come! Jamie Haywood from Clancy shared: “It was a real pleasure to support a project so close to our head office. Clancy is proud to contribute our time, materials, and skills to the community. Following surgery, many patients face challenges with holding items due to temporary weakness or hand tremors. Thanks to the support of the Patients' Fund—a program dedicated to enhancing patient experience at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals—we recently funded the purchase of Dignity Mugs. These specially designed mugs feature double handles, providing an improved grip that helps post-surgery patients regain independence and maintain dignity during their recovery. At our Charity, we know that often it’s the smallest touches that make the biggest difference. Each year, with the generous support of our donors, our Charity pledges £100,000 towards the Patients' Fund. This fund supports impactful projects of all sizes, helping to make hospital life feel a bit more like normal life. Hospital staff are encouraged to submit project ideas that could enhance their patients' experience. The Patients' Fund then allocates resources to those projects with the greatest potential for positive impact.
