Today is day one of the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit being held in London where RSE is delighted to be attending as a Gold Summit Partner and exhibiting a stand alongside RSE group company, Biomatrix Water. The summit brings together over 500 international water industry professionals, all joining the conversation around energy efficiency and circular solutions for climate-resilient water systems. RSE is delighted to be included in this discourse and venturing innovative solutions to complex problems, ultimately seeking to tackle this important issue. Earlier Biomatrix Director, Galen Fulford, delivered a presentation centred around future-proofing water infrastructure and improving water quality with nature-based solutions. Stephen Slessor will be presenting on stage tomorrow, discussing the water treatment solutions offered by the modular construction approach adopted by RSE, which enhances project delivery quality and timescales, and minimises carbon emissions. We are very proud to announce that three of our female engineers within our O&M and Process teams have been shortlisted as finalists for the CeeD (Centre for Engineering, Education and Development) Women in Engineering Award. Sarah Wardlaw, Bronwyn Spence, and Eryn Skinner have each been recognised for their remarkable development, outstanding achievements, and ability to inspire others within their roles. Each of the finalists have demonstrated resilience in overcoming challenges as a young female in the water industry, reflecting their dedication to delivering projects to an exceptional level. Our team looks forward to attending the awards on the 6th of March at the Hilton Glasgow and celebrating the achievements of our engineers, alongside other organisations that are championing women in engineering and category finalists across the range of awards. On the 9th of March 2025, Team RSE will be taking on the Inverness Half Marathon in support of Heather's Heroes. A group of 40 RSE employees from our Muir of Ord, Inverness and Cumbernauld offices will be taking part on race day, with 34 running the half marathon and a further 6 completing the 5k run! Running in aid of Heather's Heroes, the team will be fundraising to support local charities that have a major and meaningful impact on Highland communities and offer priceless care and support to those with life-limiting illnesses when they need it most. Our O&M team has been training together in preparation for the event and have found huge benefits in taking on the challenge, including improving their mental health and wellbeing and building team morale, all whilst working together to raise as much as possible for a charity close to our hearts.
