HMRC Late Payment Interest Rates to be Cut Following the recent reduction in the Bank of England base rate, HMRC has confirmed that its interest rates will also decrease. ▪️ Late payment interest will drop from 7.25% to 7% ▪️ Repayment interest (paid on tax refunds) will reduce from 3.75% to 3.5% These changes take effect from: 📅 17 February 2025 – for quarterly instalment payments 📅 25 February 2025 – for non-quarterly instalment payments If you have any questions about managing tax payments and interest implications, feel free to get in touch. #HMRC #Tax #InterestRates #Accounting #Finance
