For too long, the digital and physical worlds have been treated as separate, but this new Bill recognises the blended reality we all live in. By addressing online stalking, sex offender loopholes, spiking, and AI-generated child abuse material in one sweeping move, it marks a new era of safeguarding. This is PRO-ACTIVE policy, that doesn’t just keep up with threats - it gets ahead of them. 1 in 10 children aged 10-15 have spoken to a stranger online. This opens the door to grooming and abuse. Groomers get to know them, befriend them, and then pressure, manipulate and deceive in order to get them to share sexually explicit images. If you are a teacher or educator, you have a role to play in keeping young people safe online – and making sure they think before they share. Every child deserves to grow up safe from harm, and the UK’s Crime and Policing Bill is a vital step in making that a reality. By introducing a mandatory duty to report child sexual abuse, it ensures no institution can turn a blind eye. Recognising child criminal exploitation as a specific offence also gives authorities the power to protect vulnerable children before it’s too late. 💜 These measures matter. We’re grateful for the UK Home Office's leadership in driving them forward and hopeful for the impact they’ll have on children’s lives. https://lnkd.in/ePYTeG4u

The Australian Government continues its determination to optimise their Online Safety Legislation! This month, the Australian Government released its statutory review of the Online Safety Act, assessing its effectiveness and the need for stronger protections against online harms, including those from emerging tech such as smartphones and other camera enabled devices. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to inform Delia Richard and her team on “The Art of the Possible” ie. our #HarmBlock technology, which can be embedded into the OS of camera-enabled devices to prevent the creation, sharing, recording and consumption of CSAM and other age inappropriate content. As such it paves the way for policy makers to accredit new innovation and ensure the next generation is kept safe online. It's a victory for the online safety of children! The recommendations emphasise: ✅ Safety-by-design requirements for device manufacturers and operating systems. 📸 Mandatory safety features in camera-enabled devices to prevent the capture and rendering of child sexual exploitation and abuse material. 👏 It is now down to the Australian Government and MP Michelle Roland to see this through the legislative process. Kudos to International Justice Mission for their ability to join those who are searching for solutions, to those who are developing them around the world. #OnlineSafety #HarmBlock #SaferDigitalWorld https://lnkd.in/d5sc__8T

𝗔̲ ̲𝗦̲𝗰̲𝗮̲𝗺̲ ̲𝗕̲𝘂̲𝗶̲𝗹̲𝘁̲ ̲𝗼̲𝗻̲ ̲𝗗̲𝗲̲𝗰̲𝗲̲𝗽̲𝘁̲𝗶̲𝗼̲𝗻̲ ̲𝗮̲𝗻̲𝗱̲ ̲𝗕̲𝗲̲𝘁̲𝗿̲𝗮̲𝘆̲𝗮̲𝗹̲.̲.̲.̲ Sextortion preys on trust, fuels fear, and thrives on silence. It exploits our most human instincts. Our need for connection, to be seen, to be loved. 💜 Children are most vulnerable. Predators pose as friends, crushes, or influencers, luring victims into sharing intimate images of themselves. Then, the threats begin - demanding more images, money or control. Trapped in shame and isolation, victims feel powerless to speak out. But silence is what gives sextortionists their power. Breaking that silence takes it back. Today, on Safer Internet Day, let’s stand with the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the UK Safer Internet Centre to protect children and young people. Let’s help them get smart, speak out, and use solutions like HarmBlock, which stops harmful content before it’s too late. Support is out there 👇 https://lnkd.in/eJXHXtEW #SaferInternetDay #OnlineSafety #SextortionAwareness #HarmBlock

FINALLY - a safer internet for children isn’t a distant goal, it’s a reality! 🙌 We fully back zero tolerance to those seeking to facilitate online harms by way of a deterrent. The UK Government is taking action, and we are proud to play our part in preventing online harms. Following the Home Secretary's latest announcement, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at HarmBlock in action at The Home Office. 👀 We demonstrated how HarmBlock, embedded in the O/S of a smart phone, prevents the camera from filming harmful content before it can even be created or shared, quickly stopping sextortion, exploitation, and the unimaginable harm that follows. 🤝 We're proud to be working with The Home Office, making child-safe devices the new standard, not a privilege. No loopholes. No workarounds. Just real protection for children. #OnlineSafety #ChildProtection #SaferInternet #EndExploitation #TechForGood #AIForSafety #DigitalWellbeing #HarmBlock #SafeToNet #SafeDevices #TheHomeOffice
