Thank you so much to Ed Jackson for joining us at our first Business Club event of the season. Ed talked us through his rugby career, his life-changing accident, his rehab and his long path to recovery, as well as his remarkable achievements, scaling some of the world's highest peaks and changing lives through his charity Millimetres 2 Mountains. What an inspirational morning for everyone in the room! Huge thanks to our friends at Equals Money for sponsoring our Business Club, Gallagher for supporting this event, and King Street Townhouse for hosting us. Stay tuned for info about our next Business Club event in the new year!

About us
Founded in 1861, we’re the oldest rugby union club in the Premiership, steeped in history. Born in Manchester and proud of our roots, playing top-flight rugby in the Gallagher Premiership, going head-to-head in Europe, and our emerging Sharks Women competing in the Allianz Premier 15s. We’re dreamers on the pitch, training hard to challenge for League titles and European silverware. Off the pitch, working to level the playing field with grassroots and community programmes. Proud to be Northern, proud of the community we call home, proud to be Sharks. We're a family. A tea-drinking, protein-eating, rugby-loving family, woven together by the Fabric of the North.

We are delighted to announce that we have boosted the club’s off-field team with the appointment of Luisa d’Aprano as our new Commercial Director and Robbie Stott as Head of Commercial Operations. Luisa comes with a wealth of experience in sport, having been Vice-President of Partnership Delivery at Liverpool FC, and Relationship Manager at Manchester United. She held the post of Commercial Director at Co-op Live until February this year, when she joined sports sponsorship and marketing agency PLUS Sports & Entertainment as Head of Brand Activations. Robbie has worked in NFL, cricket and rugby league and will take charge of matchday operations and the fan experience at the Salford Stadium. Sharks CEO Paul Smith said: “We want to build a club that operates at the top level both on and off the pitch and attracting people of the calibre of Luisa and Robbie to these roles is vital in helping us do that."
