"What if we dressed the COO up as Santa and sent him around all the Greggs in Newcastle?..." - A genuine conversation in the marketing team when planning the Christmas Fundraiser Every Christmas, Samuel Knight organise a festive fundraiser for a local charity. This year we chose to support St Oswald's Hospice who provide incredible care for people of all ages living with life limiting conditions. So, how did we raise money? We asked our COO if we could dress him up as Santa and challenged him to visit 10 different Greggs in Newcastle City Centre before the end of the day, along with the support of his Elf... A nervous yes and the 'Greggs Decathlon' was a go - having his Elf helper was the only non-negotiable. (Check out the videos on our page to see how they get on!) As well as the Greggs Decathlon, we held other fundraising activities including Mystery Christmas Presents, A Bonus Ball and an Office Christmas Quiz - thank you to Greggs, TYNESIDE GOLF CLUB LIMITED(THE), Malhotra Group PLC, Clinique, Sassine Hair Salon and Kitchen91 for donating gifts towards this. Today we were kindly visited by St Oswald's Hospice to receive a cheque presentation for our efforts - we totalled £1081 (+£252 Gift Aid) throughout our fundraiser! A special thank you to all involved who made this possible and those who donated, your contributions have all gone towards supporting a fantastic cause.
