  • Wishing all of our lovely customers a very merry Christmas from the team at SAPC🎄 Original artwork by Millie Davies... "My illustration explores the story of the Nine Lessons carol service, the first ever carol service in the world, which occurred in Truro cathedral in 1880. The steam press allowed for the order of service to be printed and spread song and merriment to all."

  • October's artist for our 2025 calendar is... Sage Butler 📖 My subject was inspired by St Austell Printing Company’s Cornish heritage, specifically the legends of King Arthur. I have included references to real places in Cornwall that relate to these legends! (St Michael’s Mount, Tintagel Castle, St Nectan’s Glen & Tristan’s standing stone). I took inspiration from medieval etchings, woodcuts, and traditional pigments using lino print. Follow Sage on Instagram: @whimsicalsageart

Gemma Stevens 🗞 In 1801 Cornwall saw ‘The Royal Cornwall Gazette & Falmouth Packet’ published in Truro; the first newspaper printed and published in Cornwall. • August's artist for our 2025 calendar is... Aislinn Humphries 🍪 Celebrating cookbooks to share recipes through the ages. It’s thought that Saffron first came to Cornwall via the tin trade as early as 400 BC. Traditionally, Saffron Buns were eaten at community events and celebrations - nowadays you’re more likely to find their sunny disposition next to a lovely cup of tea, reminding us of our heritage and history.
