When buying or owning property, it's crucial to understand covenants - legal obligations tied to the title. Restrictive covenants prevent certain actions, like banning business use or restricting building alterations. These bind all future owners. Positive covenants require action, such as maintaining shared spaces. Unlike restrictive covenants, they don’t automatically pass to new owners and require a Deed of Covenant. Meet Sarah, Solicitor Apprentice at Savage Silk! Sarah started with Savage Silk as a Business Admin Apprentice, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. After finishing as an Apprentice, she was kept on as a Paralegal in the Private Client department, and then took up the offer to take the step into the Solicitor Apprenticeship role. She is now in year 3 of her 6 year course, having completed both first and second year with an overall mark of a First! Sarah is known for her empathetic and compassionate approach, making sure clients feel supported during what can often be a difficult time.
