Great to see that the Wi-Fi Alliance has formally introduced Wi-Fi 7 to the world. It looks like the key features are going to be Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4096 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (4KQAM) and 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band. Hopefully, the Wi-Fi 7 objectives of more reliable connections, more throughput, lower latency and increased data rates will be experienced in the ‘real world’. While the next step is for the IEEE to formally ratify the 802.11be Standard later in the year, manufacturers are already getting products formally certified as Wi-Fi 7.
