We really believe that as a society we should talk more about Domestic Violence, break the silence and end the stigma! Through raising awareness we can help make it stop. 'It starts with men' is campaign message created by White Ribbon UK their aim is to prevent violence against women and girls by addressing its root causes. They work with men and boys to change long-established, and harmful, attitudes, systems and behaviours around rigid gender norms and masculinity that perpetuate inequality and violence. Please check them out and see how you can support putting a stop to Domestic Violence. We created this campaign video on behalf of Stockport Women & Girls’ Network at Heaton Norris Community Centre. We recorded many different languages, expertly coordinated by Nadia Ali this was kindly sponsored by One+All, A Certified B Corporation who offer support and training around Domestic Violence to their colleagues. Paying the living wage is first step to valuing your employees. Great to be in the good company of all involved in the Living Wage movement. I think this video we produced highlights how important it is to keep it going! Living Wage Foundation
Chair at One+All, A certified B Corporation - employee owned, an advocate for real living wage and good employment
A great video by SAZ MEDIA to showcase the GM opening of Living Wage week. Also a brief cameo by me, Sophie Little and Carol Halford - 1:01 minutes in or as I prefer to call it - room 101😂 Pleased to be on a panel on the essential living hours campaign on Thursday. Living Wage Foundation #livinghours #livingwage Makes up for the sad news last week - the sad passing of my hero Quincy Jones and at least he missed the other US news - the unmentionable! In the midst of all that let’s spare a thought for the millions of people on low pay and insecure work, that’s something we can try to change

Just reflecting on the highs of last week… after a check in call with my mentor Donald Moore this morning. It’s business as usual again for me and I could get lost in the busyness of it all but a lesson I’ve learnt of late is to reflect. Really look back at how far I’ve come, all the progress made on that journey and how it supports me in the now and where it could lead. Last week SAZ MEDIA received Membership status from Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter the award was presented by Andy Burnham and the room was filled with so many people who we’ve been on this journey with. A big shout out to Sharon McDonnell Carol Halford and Ian MacArthur for being a huge part of our journey to social change. You and the wider team are a real force for good. And then inviting me to be a speaker for the Leadership Conference! I crumbled and was humbled when asked but I was so well supported again by Donald and Gillian Drakeford MBE who is ‘wow’ 🤩 And sharing the stage with the wonderful Nick Cooper & John Herring I couldn’t be in better company. Hearing the inspirational Sharon Amesu just topped it all off 👏 A brilliant Good Employment Week! And a shout out to my coach Simone Callaghan who has been so supportive from day 1 when we meet all those years ago. I’ll not forget anyone who’s supported me on my journey and I’ll always be paying that forward 🫶

In 2016 SAZ MEDIA created a mission statement ‘to be the go to place for creative content that inspires positive social change’, and we’ve been following that commitment through ever since. One of the ways we’ve created social change is by being a good employer and we’ve learnt from business peers and the framework of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter It’s been a really rewarding process. We’ve gone on a journey from being supporters of the charter to now membership status and we are so proud. If you are looking to better your business the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is a great place to start.

Yesterday was fantastic! A big thank you to Caroline Patten (MCIPD) and Grassroots Consulting for choosing us as their video partner. What a great day to combine our love for working across sectors and with inspiring young people. Stay tuned for some great educational films 🎥 ✨😀
It's a wrap! Spent a fantastic couple of days filming with local businesses and colleges as part of our current consulting work with Stockport Council, delivering a targeted careers event and suite of resources for teachers and students to promote career pathways and study routes in the Borough. The end result will include a range of bitesize videos to accompany CEIAG materials, including lesson plans, worksheets and games to be used in assemblies, careers lessons and embedded within the curriculum for Years 10 to 13 students for 13 secondary schools and 6 college/sixth forms. Great opportunity to get out of the office and speak to employers and young people about their priorities for skills, recruitment and jobs growth now and in the future. #post16careersweek #CEIAG #careersprovision #Stockport #consulting #jobs #skills #growth #post16 #skillsgaps
