We are in a museum! It is not what you thinking, we are now old fashioned. On the contrary, our biodegradable Hindu Urn was selected for centre stage at Leeds City Museum exhibition - Living with Death: an exhibition exploring death, dying and bereavement. The Hindu urn is a perfect example how culture around death changes over time, historically Hindus would scatter ashes on the Ganges or other significant rivers in India using a fired clay urn. Now with many Hindus spending their whole lives in the UK the community has adopted British rivers to carry out this ritual, using a receptacle ideally designed for the purpose of a dignified send off. Well done Leedsmuseum for exploring this important subject. #death #hindu #hinduism #ashes #cremation

Really excited to be presenting at this year's CBCE (Cremation & Burial Communication & Education) / THE CREMATION SOCIETY conference up in in Blackpool this year. The subject is around what happens when #ashes leave the crematorium and what families do with them in this day and age. And how important it is, particularly with the rise of #directcremation, to not only hold some form of ceremony but also to record it (Ashes Registry Ltd): not just out of respect, but to complete people's stories. If you are at the conference but unable to attend the talk, Scattering Ashes and Algordanza Ltd have got a stand there too - so please come along and say 'Hi'
We look forward to welcoming Richard Martin to our #CBCE2024 speaker line up! Richard will join us to discuss recording someone’s last resting place in the modern age. Find out more about our programme of speakers and to register for CBCE, click here > https://buff.ly/442gpd7 #bereavement
