#NationalTreeWeek At the first meeting of the Tree Planting Taskforce, Rural Affairs Secretary Mairi Gougeon highlighted Scotland’s £1.1 billion forestry sector, the growing of 75% of the UK’s new woodlands and creating the highest level of new planting for 34 years! She said "I welcome the opportunity to collaborate and share our successes." Paul Lowe, CEO of Scottish Forestry also attended the meeting. He said: "By working in partnership with the forestry sector, Scotland has achieved many remarkable achievements in woodland expansion. We aim to play an important role in the #TreePlantingTaskforce and to share best practice and collaborate on future forests." PREPARING FOR STORM SEASON AND WINDBLOW We are in storm season so if you are a woodland owner please read on to be prepared for windblow.
