By 2030, the UK will ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars to help cut greenhouse gas emissions. The long-term target is for nearly all cars and vans to be zero-emission by 2050. Businesses and organisations need to understand how the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) will impact them. This transition is crucial for tackling climate change and reducing the harmful effects of global warming on the planet. Download our FREE factsheet, created in collaboration with the Scottish Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ScORSA), which outlines steps businesses can take to adapt their policies and procedures for the use of EVs. Tyre safety is a key component in ensuring that drivers stay safe during the winter months. Properly maintained tyres provide better grip and handling on icy or snow-covered roads, reducing the risk of accidents. Additionally, tyre pressure should be monitored frequently, as cold weather can cause it to drop. For areas prone to severe winter conditions, consider switching to winter tyres, which are specifically designed to offer better traction in low temperatures and on slippery surfaces.

Only a week until we head to Westminster for our Sleep for Safety event in the House of Commons. During this event we will be raising awareness of the importance of sleep in the workplace and the impact fatigue has on health, safety and wellbeing - particularly around driving. With a line up of expert speakers, we hope the event will highlight what employers, and the government, can do to support the nation's workforce when it comes to sleep. A big thanks to Inspire Medical Systems for sponsoring the event. #SleepForSafety #WorkplaceWellbeing #FatigueAwareness #HealthAndSafety #SleepAwareness #WestminsterEvents #DrivingSafety
