Calling all civil rights and/or racial justice professionals! In 2023, the Ford Foundation began exploring how to build a rigorous and substantive civil rights audit ecosystem. After hearing from many stakeholders about the need for a more dedicated effort to identify and support audits and auditors with integrity, the Ford Foundation set out to understand more specifically what is needed to engage investors and corporations effectively on this issue. This exploration led to the formation of the Civil Rights Auditor Training Program. This 7-session, multi-disciplinary program is focused on equity-centered civil rights auditor development. It is intended for professionals committed to advancing equity and supporting businesses to achieve inclusive and socially impactful goals. The ideal participant has deep expertise in civil rights and/or racial justice and has several years of professional experience (5-7 years) in two or more of the following fields: - Racial Equity or Civil Rights Auditing - Civil Rights or Public Interest Law - Governance or Management Consulting - AI or Algorithmic Bias - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Human Rights Assessment This program comes at no cost to participants and the application is now open. The deadline to submit your application is Friday, April 19. The program will meet bi-weekly and is scheduled to run from April to July 2024.
