The holiday season is a time for joy, but it’s also a prime opportunity for cybercriminals to target online shoppers. From fake e-cards to fraudulent deals, hackers are ready to take advantage of your festive spirit. Common Holiday Cyber Threats: - Phishing Emails: Fake "holiday deals" or "gift card offers" trick you into clicking malicious links. - Fake E-Cards: Some e-cards carry malware designed to steal your data. - Bogus Online Stores: Scammers create lookalike websites offering amazing deals, only to steal your money or personal information. - Charity Scams: Fraudsters exploit generosity with fake donation requests. 5 tips for staying safe this holiday season! 1. Shop Smart: Only buy from trusted websites with HTTPS (🔒 lock in the URL) 2. Avoid Public Wi-Fi for Shopping: Use a VPN if you must shop on public networks 3. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Add an extra layer of protection to your accounts 4 Stay Alert: Verify emails, links, and donation requests before clicking or sharing personal info 5.
