  • How Do You Prepare for Interviews? Over the years, I’ve interviewed countless candidates, and one thing always stands out—preparation. If someone walks into an interview unprepared, it sends a clear message: they’re not really serious about the role. So, how can you show you're ready and eager? Here are my personal tips to help you feel confident and prepared: 🔹 Do Your Homework Learn about the company—what they do, their values, and what sets them apart. It shows you’re genuinely interested in working there. 🔹 Break Down the Job Description Think about how your skills match what they’re looking for. Be ready to explain exactly why you’re a great fit. 🔹 Know Your Story Be ready to share your career journey in a natural, engaging way. What brought you here, and what’s next for you? 🔹 Prepare for Likely Questions Take time to think through the types of questions they might ask. Practicing your answers will help you feel more confident on the day. 🔹 Highlight Your Wins Have examples of your successes ready to share. If you’ve worked with KPIs, bring numbers—concrete results always make an impression. 🔹 Ask the Right Questions Think of a few questions to ask them. It shows you’re not just interested in the job, but also the team, culture, and company. 🔹 Dress Smart Even for a virtual interview, looking professional makes a difference. You’ll feel more confident and show you take the opportunity seriously. 🔹 Body Language Matters Sit up, smile, and stay engaged—how you present yourself is as important as what you say. 🔹 Test Your Tech For virtual interviews, check your internet and make sure your setup is working. A quick practice run never hurts! 🔹 Eliminate Distractions Pick a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted. Focus is everything. 🔹 Be Punctual Whether it’s in person or online, being early shows respect for their time. Plan for delays and give yourself extra time to get ready. 🔹 Stay Calm and Be Yourself Interviews can feel nerve-wracking, but trust in your preparation. Be honest, be authentic, and let them see why you’re the right person for the role. What’s your top tip for interview prep? If you’re looking for support with your next career move—or just need someone to help you feel prepared—get in touch. I’d love to help you present the best version of yourself. • As a recruiter, I always make it a priority to interview every candidate before presenting them to my clients. During these chats, I cover a mix of clinical, commercial, and general topics that relate to the role. One question that often trips candidates up is, "Why are you looking to leave your current position?" It’s common to hear reasons like not enough appointments, limited sales opportunities, or frustrations with company culture. But here’s my advice: shift the focus. Rather than dwell on the negatives, talk about your career aspirations. Share what you’re hoping to develop in your next role—whether that’s honing your skills, embracing new challenges, or growing in a way that helps you reach your full potential. Staying positive is key. It’s not about criticizing where you are now, but about expressing your excitement for new learning opportunities and the chance to contribute to an innovative team. When you focus on what excites you about the future, it shows you're driven by growth and progression. If you ever need help preparing for those tough questions, don’t hesitate to reach out! With my background as a hiring manager, I can offer guidance on how to handle them with confidence. Let’s chat—call me at 07776 303960 or drop me a DM! 🔷 Connecting professionals in the world of sound and vision 🔷 #AudiologyInterviews #CareerGrowth #PositiveMindset #Audiologist

  • If you're currently interviewing for roles, I just wanted to remind you of something important: Even when you’re prepared, do your best, and really click with the interviewers, sometimes it still doesn’t work out. Why? Because at the last minute, another candidate with that extra bit of industry experience might step in and offered role. It can be frustrating, but it’s true—sometimes, it just comes down to who else is in the mix. That said, don’t let it discourage you. Always ask for feedback and keep pushing forward. If one door closes, another will open, and the right opportunity will come when it’s meant to. If there’s anything I can do to help you during your search—whether that’s reviewing your CV, offering some advice, or connecting you with someone in my network—please don’t hesitate to reach out. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, or you’re hiring for your team, I’m here to help! You can always give me a call at 07776 303960 or drop me a message. 🔷 Connecting professionals in the world of sound and vision 🔷 #Audiology #Recruitment #CareerSupport #JobSearch #Networking
