Had a wonderful time today at the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce awards lunch, it was so lovely to get into a bit of networking and catch up with some familiar faces! BURTON UPON TRENT AND DISTRICT YMCA are the Chamber’s chosen charity this year, as part of this, Paul Laffey and Paula Senior gave an eye-opening speech on the services they provide; to say they’re doing incredible work is an understatement. Thank you for supporting our community as much as you do 🙏🏼 Well done to Richard Brooks, Richard Wileman and the team for pulling such a great event together and well done to Blu H. for taking the win for the Future Face category 💚 Lovely to see you all! It’s #StressAwarenessDay! Personally I’m a big stresser, so I wanted to share some techniques I’ve found handy to reduce stress and anxiety in the hopes that it might help someone else too. 💚

Now that’s a lot of high-vis! 🦺 💚 Late post but, it was an absolute privilege to get to volunteer the other week to help with BURTON UPON TRENT AND DISTRICT YMCA’s Sleepout. It’s an evening I won’t soon forget, filled with warm hearts and the desire for better change. I was there snapping some pics of people in fun hats and I can’t explain the overwhelming feeling of kindness and positivity I got from both the participants and volunteers there. These are people that truly want to make a difference and help others, it gives me hope for the future. Well done to those who took part! #YMCABurton #YMCASleepout2024 #Volunteering

It's such a bizarre thought that meeting him at an event and asking him where to put the used plates has led to us building a working relationship and created the opportunity of a very fun & unique project.
