The impact of the 2025 Budget is catastrophic. One in five care providers is at risk of collapse. Chancellor, we need £2 billion more to #SaveSocialCare. #ProvidersUnite Let’s unite and send a clear message to government - to #SaveSocialCare from the 2025 budget impacts we need £2 billion more in funding. We will not fall silent… we need funding now! Our strength lies in our shared commitment to safeguarding the future of adult care services and ensuring the voices of providers are heard at every level of government. It’s time to fully fund social care; our NHS depends on it. Annually, the social care sector contributes £68.1 billion to the economy, and it's a vital part of Britain’s healthcare infrastructure. Without it, there will be more strain on NHS services. Whether it's residential care, supported living, extra-care, home care or specialist support, our social care system is vital to enable people to live the life they want to live, safe and well in their own community. To #SaveSocialCare from the 2025 budget impacts we need £2 billion more in funding. #ProvidersUnite

A lovely infographic to show the economic value of social care in England. £68.1bn with 1.17FTE, socioeconomic benefits of £265 billion vs costs of £110 billion. So for every £1 spent in the sector, there are £2.40 in socioeconomic benefits. https://lnkd.in/g4SeTFHq

We’re urging women and people with a cervix to attend their cervical screening appointments. New figures show many are not taking up this potentially lifesaving offer. A total of 5.12 million invitations to screening appointments were sent to those who were eligible in 2023-24. A total of 3.25 took up the offer. Cervical screening checks for high-risk HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer. It is offered every three to five years depending on age, saving thousands of lives annually by detecting issues early. The NHS has committed to eliminating cervical cancer by 2040. Read more about the latest cervical screening data: https://lnkd.in/e9_rfqRy

The alarm bells are ringing over the future of adult social care in this country. The Care Provider Alliance has shared its findings from its comprehensive survey of over 1,180 care and support providers. The survey shows that the social care sector faces potential collapse owing to the combined impact of National Insurance changes and National Living Wage increases announced in the Budget. The crisis facing the sector is stark. The Care Association Alliance / Lincolnshire Care Association endorses this survey and joins the calls from across the social care sector for the government to take steps to avoid a catastrophe. https://lnkd.in/enyd6Sfz

Our chair, Mike Padgham set the agenda for media coverage of social care this weekend – driving a front-page Daily Express story on the National Insurance scandal on Saturday and taking part in the Politics North broadcast yesterday – great work, Mike. Thanks to Tim Iredale at Politics North and to Giles Sheldrick at the Daily Express.
