We’re so excited to be heading into our first ever semi-finals 🤩
"We are really excited to be playing in the finals series this year. The team have worked tirelessly to get over the line this season and I am so proud of the effort they have put in to secure our Top 4 position. The finals series is a new space for most of the team, so I am excited to see how we prepare in the coming weeks and the product we can deliver on court in these high-pressure games." - Jo Trip, Severn Stars Head Coach. This is the first year that the Worcester-based club will be attending the Netball Super League Grand Final weekend and the team are ready and raring to go. Their first stop though is their semi-final fixture against Manchester Thunder on 22 June at the Belle Vue Arena. You can get your tickets to watch Severn Stars live, here: https://t.co/2yO2FejMUR

Though disappointed that the bid to retain the franchise as part of the Netball Super League 2.0 has not been successful, we are hopeful for the future of the sport in the region. The University of Worcester is in discussions & hopes to have a strong relationship with new franchise Birmingham Panthers. Thank you Stars Family✨

Catch the next episode of the Netball Super League #SeeUsNow episode 🤩📺
‘When I have this baby, will they want me afterwards?’ 💭 Motherhood and fertility are two topics that affect women in a myriad of ways, with the meaning of these words signalling something different to every single person. Pre- and post-natal experiences can often be challenging, let alone balancing a career as an elite sportsperson. For women in elite sport, discussing motherhood and fertility can throw up all sorts of questions about becoming pregnant and fertility taboos, how to tell your teammates if you do become pregnant, the impact of birth both mentally and physically, opportunities to return to play when you feel ready, what if you want to have another child and so many other facets of the lived female experience. 🗣️ In this episode of the #SeeUsNow series, we’re holding one of our most open conversations yet; hearing about Mary Cholhok’s experiences of having her son before her netball career and her journey on bringing him to the UK, discussions around how pregnancy might affect your performance both physically and mentally, starting conversations about fertility and freezing your eggs – plus much more. 📲 Catch the full episode on the NSL YouTube channel alongside episode one on appearance and episode two exploring work/life balance: https://lnkd.in/eapiBDvh #WomenInSport #FemaleHealth #NETBALLHer Loughborough Sport Severn Stars LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons The Well HQ Women in Sport
