It's been an absolute pleasure carrying out the work on this property in Blackburn. Just as we were coming to completion on the pitched roofing works, the customer decided they wanted to renew all the UPVC to the building. Very excited to say that we have just started work on this Grade 2 listed church. Our first job on site was to remove all of the slate and timbers in order to allow for a full inspection. Our next task is to recover this fantastic building with the original Burlington roof slate, returning it to its full glory !!! We will also be replacing one side of this roof with new Burlington roof slate straight from the quarry to maintain the overall theme of the building. A current project in Lytham, St Annes. This house is getting a few structural alterations, so once we have completed the tiling, we will be returning once the house has been knocked through and two new balconies built. Due to the location of this property, we had to make sure our fixings calculations were correct as it is located on the seafront and susceptible to high winds. Every tile will be nailed and clipped. All perimeters and valleys are fixed with the correct clips and fixings. We will be using a Marley Cr2 clay angle capped ridge as it has two mechanical fixing points. One of our current projects in St Annes Square. It's a pleasure to be part of this project and see the progress on the old JR Taylors building. This project is a full refurbishment to add a new lease of life to St Annes. You can see the current slate roof we are on working on and, just behind it, the flat roof we will be starting in a couple of weeks. As we are accredited members of Team Icopal, this project will be a 130mm warm roof build-up using the Icopal Thermaweld Firesmart hot bitumen melt system.
