    Most people will never consider the most revealing metric in signage; dwell time. The amount of time your sign captures its audience. However, longer isn't always better. With wayfinding, shorter dwell times mean your signs are working effectively. With branded spaces, increase dwell time demonstrates you're connecting on a deeper level. If you understand dwell time, it can help you: → Create intuitive wayfinding signage. → Communicate information effectively. → Enhance storytelling to control attention. It's important to always measure dwell time in context. → Shorter for navigation. → Longer for experience. Understanding how dwell time works is critical. Not because of products. Not because of location. But because they overlook the experience.
