𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗽'𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 🎉 Sing Up is pleased to announce that following a recent recruitment process, Natasha Hendry has been appointed to the Sing Up Board as a Non-Executive Director. Natasha is a music psychologist, researcher, educator, singer, speaker and social justice activist. She's an expert on diversity and de-colonisation of the music curriculum and a Research Psychologist specialising in music, wellbeing and social justice. She is nearing completion of 3 years of study for a PhD, dedicated to examining the under-researched area of racial inequalities in UK music education. Natasha has also just joined Counterculture as an associate researcher to work on a ground-breaking research report on Black music in the UK, commissioned by UK music. CEO Michelle James said of the appointment "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Natasha to Sing Up's Board. She brings with her a wealth of expertise, knowledge and passion for the role of music education in society, particularly in relation to equity, diversity and inclusion. We've already benefited from having Natasha work with the senior management and staff team on Sing Up's EDI strategy and we look forward to continuing work with her at a governance level where she can guide us forward alongside our other Directors."
