The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity provides nine-year interest-free business and education loans to people aged between 18 and 45 within Leicestershire and Rutland. Based at Friars Mill in the heart of Leicester city centre, we have helped a number of people become their own boss, whilst many more have studied for post-graduate qualifications following completion of their undergraduate degree. Lee a De Montfort University Alumni, borrowed £5000 from The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity where they offered an education loan which then followed on to a business loan. Lee talks about the benefits of taking this loan and how it isn’t really a loan as there is no need to pay anything back for 3 years. When you do start paying back, it’s interest free up to 6 years. When asked about starting a business he said, “Love what you do first and the money will follow later.” If you’re passionate about what you do then it’s worth everything.
