As a child, Sister Ana María felt the call of Jesus, who poured out his mercy on her and strengthened her to give her life to Hospitality. In her mission, she has witnessed God's love in every person she has cared for, from children with the after-effects of polio to those suffering from mental health disorders. God is here with them, strengthening them... and we are praying, accompanying them and giving them all our love so that they can move forward. Caring for the elderly and for people with mental disorders across the world
About us
Sisters Hospitallers is a non-profit institution that provides support and care to the sick in hospitals, care homes and health centers worldwide. As part of the Province of England, we are currently present in England, Ghana and Liberia. Our charitable work in Africa focuses on providing medical and mental care to people in need. More specifically, we give medicines, support and care to children and adults living with mental disorders, as they are highly stigmatised and socially excluded for their sickness.

Heartfelt gratitude! We are deeply thankful to an amazing NGO from Adansi Kenea for their generous support. Upon learning about our challenges, they donated essential items and stationery, bringing joy to St Benito Menni Hospital. The donations were presented to Reverend Sister Felicia Gbortsu, and in a touching gesture, they gifted a wheelchair to one of our children, greatly improving their mobility. Their kindness and compassion inspire us, and we look forward to a continued partnership. Thank you for making a difference! #Gratitude #CommunitySupport #ActsOfKindness #MakingADifference #TogetherWeCan

What began as a ‘chance’ has become a haven of peace. For Franco, Villa San Benedetto Menni has not only been a place of care for his wife Anna, but also a place of containment, listening and rediscovery of God's mercy. ‘This place, which could be a place of sadness, has become for me an opportunity for psychological help and an awareness of the Lord's mercy’. We invite you to read the full article and join us in supporting Liberia’s healing journey: https://lnkd.in/eEWfcbPe Stay with us as we continue this series, where we’ll dive into other important aspects of Liberia’s recovery and the ongoing efforts we’re making to support this resilient nation. #WeAreLikeYou #SistersHospitallers #MentalHealthAwareness #Liberia #PostWarRecovery #TraumaHealing #MentalHealthSupport #Africa #SustainableChange #HopeForLiberia #GlobalHealth

Addressing Liberia’s mental health crisis: The role of "We Are Like You" by Sisters Hospitallers Liberia has long struggled with the aftermath of two brutal civil wars, extreme poverty, and public health crises, leaving a deep impact on the mental health of its population.
