I felt proud to be present at an event discussing the future of our beloved Croydon, and oh boy, was there a lot to talk about! I had the pleasure of live scribing for the newly merged City of St. George’s University for their council’s very first away day. For some of the council, it was their first time meeting in person. They talked about their plans for the future and what the council would like to develop and grow as well as providing some great presentations about the university’s seperate history. It was a fabulous day, and although I cannot share any of the content as it is under a strict NDA, I have been permitted to share the middle, where I drew the City campus and Tooting Campus flowing into the new merged university logo! #citystgeorges #councilawayday #livescribing #universitycouncil #merger #university

The event was a crucial training session on procedures focusing on Evacuate Vs Lockdown scenarios and was specifically designed for educational institutes looking to enhance their safety protocols. We send off the artwork to be scanned post event so you have a hi-resolution digital copy as well as the original artwork. This means not only will the graphic capturing the content of the day be an important reminder to those who view the original in situ at the Council, those that attended the event and beyond can be informed and educated on this important content. Throwing it back to when our team live scribed at Cranford Community College for the Equity and Equalities conference, covering important topics such as race, religion, sexuality, gender, misogyny, and invisible disability. Live scribing brought a whole new level of engagement and understanding to the event, allowing students to visually see key points and themes being discussed in real-time. This not only helped in capturing the essence of the conversations but also served as a valuable resource for students to refer back to. The impact of live scribing was truly remarkable, as it helped in fostering a more inclusive and diverse environment within the school. Students were able to actively participate in the discussions and feel heard, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the complex issues surrounding equity and equalities. By visually documenting the conversations, live scribing also made the content more accessible and digestible for all students, regardless of their learning styles or abilities. It sparked meaningful conversations and encouraged critical thinking among the students, paving the way for a more inclusive and empathetic school community. Kudos to Cranford Community College for embracing innovative solutions like live scribing to make important conversations more impactful and memorable.
