People Architects is 1 Year old! 🥳 A year full of: - 8 members of team contributing over the year  - 10 no. Planning Applications submitted - 6 no. Approvals granted - 4 no. Applications pending - 5 no. Construction sites started  - 2 no. Project collaborations - Clients include Southampton City and Eastleigh Borough Councils, charities, community groups, developers and individuals. People Architects are in the pursuit of ‘architecture serving people’. We see this in the architectural: - Product: framing relationships and placing value on its social role. - Process: building relationships, listening and delivering. We are excited to be stepping into all that Year 2 brings. 1 new team member lined up for 2025 and other investments in relational capital. In 2023, working closely with Snug Architects, EURBAN Limited were proud to be the Mass Timber Specialist for Hope Street - a progressive pilot project for One Small Thing (OST) a charity that supports a trauma informed alternative to custodial prison sentences for women.   Hope Street has received many accolades including winning a 2024 CIVIC TRUST AWARDS as well as the 2024 RIBA MacEwan Award when the judges described the project as ‘Architecture that is healing people’ and ‘a generous and visionary scheme that almost had one of the judges in tears.’   To tell us more we’re honoured to welcome Mike Worthington as a guest contributor to our series of LinkedIn Thought Leaders. Mike, is a former Director of Snug Architects and was the Project Lead for Hope Street. Another cracking Slipstream cycle ride around the Isle of Wight with friends from the #construction sector. Huge thanks to The Escape and Amiri Construction for sponsoring the Mark Vincent Isle of Wight Memorial Ride. This year we decided to sail over! It turned out to be on the windy side for both activities! All the more satisfying for the challenge.
