Just attended another brilliant Employment and Skills Board Meeting facilitated by colleagues at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and led by Diane Keay at the fantastic new Maltby Learning Trust Business Hub. It was fantastic to have an opportunity to visit the centre, which is supporting RNN Group UK in our provision of engagement and progression focused Community and Employability provision at the point of need in the South Rotherham region.

Business Development at AMRC Training Centre. Working with Engineering, Manufacturing Employers on a Local, Regional and National Level for Apprenticeship Delivery
We're absolutely delighted with the report, and the feedback we've received.
The University has been praised for delivering good quality apprenticeships and having strong links with industry by a recent Ofsted inspection! Sheffield has a number of well established training programmes in engineering and healthcare, which are developed and delivered in collaboration with industry, enabling employers to respond to their current and future specialist skills needs. Professor Mary Vincent, Vice-President for Education, said: “There is a national skills gap in nursing and manufacturing in the UK, so here at Sheffield we are working closely with employers to deliver apprenticeships that meet their needs both now and over the coming years, as well as the needs of apprentices who are looking to launch their career in these fields.” Our apprentices have also been recognised for displaying outstanding behaviour and attitudes. Nichola Crozier, Speech and Language Therapy Apprentice at the University of Sheffield, said: “The Speech and Language Therapy Apprenticeship is an amazing opportunity for me. Finally making my dream of becoming a qualified SLT a tangible goal. "I value the teaching and support given to me by the University, but also the fantastic learning opportunities given to me in my place of work by the qualified Speech and Language Therapists I work with everyday at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.” https://lnkd.in/eYtSxx8y.
