I am tired today but hugely energised! #spacewest and CyNam came together to deliver a dedicated Cybersecurity in space event at the Cheltenham Science Festival. This is just the start...more to come! Big takeaways from the day for me were: - Space is complicated -collaboration is key! For me it is leveraging networks to share intelligence, bring communities together and look for the opportunities at the intersection. It is also critical that we find new ways to open up and diversify supply chains so that it does not feel to others like a 'closed shop'. -Astropolitics is an extension of geopolitics- I fear the next global conflict will start in space! - We need to bring more people in! People and ideas- making the case for space is critical to bring in people so that we can harness the diversity of thinking and creativity to solve them. - Legacy problems are hard to solve- grab the low hanging fruit- start where there is a green pasture -start with SDA! Thank you to Hollie Wakefield and the whole of the CyNam team for bringing it all together- as well as the very kind gifts. Thank you also to the wonderful speakers Peter Death, Colin Baldwin, Ali Stickings, Junayd Miah, Simon Reid, Anuradha Damale-Day, Mark Chang, Sevgi Aksoy Okeke Michael -your insights were hugely valuable!
