🎙️Insightful stories from three experienced journalists in Spain and the UK! 💜Last week, our Digital Communications Manager, Laura Garrido-Martínez, and our Head of Foreign Trade, Jose Miguel Flavian Erlac, were invited to the Christmas event organised by the Club de Ejecutivas Españolas in London. 🗣️The event featured a panel of journalists, including Helen Wade (BBC, Sky News, AP), Adela Gooch OBE (The Economist, The Guardian, The Independent), and Lourdes Gomez (El Mundo). They shared their experiences as international correspondents and discussed the links between Spain and the UK. 👋🏼 Introducing Luis and Paolo, our Trade interns at the Spanish Chamber! Luis Martínez has been with us since summer, attending a variety of events and gaining plenty of hands-on experience. He has impressed us with his hard work, but we were even more blown away when he baked a chocolate cake for the Team! 🍰 Paolo Zenere, who joined us earlier this month, is already making a mark with his enthusiasm and fresh perspective. During their visit to AIRE's offices and venue in London, they discussed opportunities for collaboration with the Chamber 🙌 AIRE is a renowned spa, bath, and massage chain founded in Seville, with locations across Spain, Europe, and North America. #SpainintheUK #SpanishBusiness

📣 Yesterday, our Secretary General, Igor Urra, and our Deputy Secretary General, Rebecca Wall, represented the Chamber at the UK-Spain Business Awards ceremony in Madrid. The event was organised by the British Embassy Madrid in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain. The ceremony featured speeches from institutional representatives, including Sir Alex Ellis, the recently appointed British Ambassador to Spain and Andorra, and Amparo López Senovilla, the new Spanish Minister for Trade. Baroness Poppy Gustafsson, the newly appointed UK Minister for Investment, was also in attendance. 🎉 Among the winners, Navantia, S.A., S.M.E, Patron of the Chamber, was recognised for its "commitment to our collective defence." Congratulations for this well-deserved award! 🤝 It was a truly exceptional event that further strengthened the ties between our two countries. #UKSPAwards2024 #SpanishBusiness
