It has been a big year for SpareMyTime with loads of changes and work behind the scenes which we can’t wait to share with you in the New Year. Here’s a look at our year in numbers: - Our team have worked a whopping 14,239 hours this year. That’s nearly a 20% increase from 2023. - Over 2,200 hours were spent keeping on top of client inboxes, managing diaries and assisting with general administration. - Over 1,160 hours were spent developing content, conducting email marketing campaigns and managing social media accounts. - Over 860 hours were spent processing expenses and producing financial reports - We worked with 74 amazing clients (22 of whom joined us this year) - We were the winners of 3 shiny, new awards We are so excited about where we can go in 2025, and we want to take you with us! We are Hiring! Bookkeeping Account Manager [Xero trained] £16 - £20 [£33,280 - £41,600 FTE] Start date: ASAP Responsibilities: - Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bookkeeping processes, including daily bank reconciliation, posting journals, credit control, and making payments in line with SMT’s methods. - Integrate online platforms [Synder, A2X, or similar] and utilise technologies [Hub-doc, Xero Pay] to ensure accurate bookkeeping records. - Prepare, review and file VAT returns in a timely manner. Handle supplier and client communications related to payments and invoicing. - Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Assist external accountants with the preparation of our clients’ annual accounts. Qualifications & Skills Required: - AAT-qualified or similar - At least 3 years working as a bookkeeper, preferably within a practice. - At least 1 year working with Xero is essential. - Tech savvy [experience in Hub-doc, Xero pay & projects desirable] - You will maintain an excellent practical understanding of VAT and accounting rules to ensure compliance and accuracy in all bookkeeping activities.
