Spork reposted this
It was a little grey over the Hungerford Bridge this morning, but I want to tell you how Spork is injecting a bit more colour into classical music streaming! My diligent team has been beavering away on an R&D initiative funded by the EU. We’re simply delighted to be a part of the REPERTORIUM project - a €3m Horizon Grant that brings 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) and Sound Field Reconstruction (SFR) to a live streaming environment through our product, 4forty.io. The tech is still very much in its early stages, but we’re just so excited to be involved in a test stream of Sibelius 1 this Sunday, played by Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre. Stay tuned to hear how it went. Massive thanks to Christopher Ditchburn, Philip Mudd, Jean-Michel Dentand, Yuxuan Chua, Tom Brierley, Gawain Hammond, and Carmel Farquhar for getting us to this point. Like any tuba player, I’m a massive fan of Sibelius, a massive fan of the Philharmonia, and a massive fan of my team. So maybe I’m just a little bit excited that we're apart of this project. #Repertorium_AI #HorizonGrant #UKRI #Philharmonia #PhilharmoniaOrchestra #SouthbankCentre #SouthbankCentreConcerts #AI #RoyalFestivalHall #RepertoriumConcerts #SoundFieldReconstruction #SoundSourceSeparation #DataDrivenMusic #AIinMusic #TechInnovation #FutureSound #Technology #Music #Audio #Techniques #Polmi_ISPL #stream #Sibelius #Lindberg #ExperienceInnovation #Sound
