"Openness around sharing a hidden disability or long-term condition can be challenging to measure, plus we understand that not everyone will choose to share for a number of reasons." In our new blog, our CEO Tim Hollingsworth OBE explains the work undertaken to achieve a key inclusivity status that supports our Uniting the Movement strategy within Sport England. #SportEngland | #UnitingTheMovement
As we head into December and #DisabilityHistoryMonth, and in my continued role as the Government's #DisabilityAccessAmbassador for sport and activity, it couldn't be a better time to highlight a success for Sport England of which I am particularly proud. I am delighted last month we achieved the Disability Confident Leader level, the highest level in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Disability Confident Scheme. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees, an effort that firmly links our way of operating with our long-term strategy #UnitingtheMovement and with tackling inequalities. Please take a look at my blog below which explains what this means and where we want to head next. If we want to see it, we have to be it. #DisabilityConfident https://lnkd.in/gRnxQRQ7
