Scottish Sport Awards 2024! 💙 A few weeks ago I got to attend the Scottish Sport Awards in Glasgow with the sportscotland Young People Sports Panel! This was my last event as a member of the panel and what a way it was to finish off the two years and it was a pleasure to spend the night with Faatima Zahra Gardee! After such a big year of sport with the Olympics and Paralympics taking place in the summer, I loved being part of the celebrations! The day before the awards I had posted a picture of myself with Sammi Kinghorn to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Little did I know that the very next day I would get to meet her again! We of course had to use the opportunity to recreate the picture 9 years on!! Faatima and I also had the privilege to speak to Dame Katherine Grainger and we loved being able to share a little bit about our time on the YPSP and why we are so passionate about valuing and empowering the voice of young people in sport! Well done to all the winners and nominees! It’s lovely to see your successes and hard work celebrated! Your journeys in sport are inspiring to so many!
