This is hospice care. Let it live on for all, for now, forever. We’re proud to join Hospice UK's collaborative campaign, ‘This is Hospice Care’, alongside 143 other adult and children’s hospices, with the aim of changing perceptions and inspiring more support for hospices across the country. At St Ann’s Hospice, we enable patients and their loved ones to experience the joy life still has to offer, while also providing expert support through the challenges of a life-limiting diagnosis. Thanks to our dedicated staff and clinicians, no one has to face this journey alone. Hospice care leaves a lasting legacy, but we need it to be your legacy too. About us
St Ann’s Hospice provides free care and support for over 3,000 patients and their families and carers every year, who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses. Our aim is to provide the highest levels of support and care to our patients – and their carers and families, making a real difference to people’s lives. What does it cost? Our care is free of charge but St Ann’s has to raise £20,000 every day so our specialised staff can provide the highest quality care. Who do we care for? St Ann’s cares and helps around 3,000 patients (over the age of 16) and their families and carers every year who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses. We deliver care that is special and unique to each individual person. Around 40% of inpatients at St Ann’s return home after treatment. Where do we care? St Ann’s provides care on 3 sites and in people’s own homes, working in partnership with acute hospitals, primary care trusts, community services and voluntary organisations. When do we care? Many of our services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Who provides our care? Our services are provided by specialist staff. We employ around 400 members of staff and are helped by around 800 volunteers.

St Ann’s Hospice has always been a big part of Marguerite Christie’s life. Her mum was a dedicated volunteer for over three decades, from the hospice’s opening in the early 1970s. Now, Marguerite has made a lasting connection with St Ann’s by choosing to leave a gift in her Will. Reflecting on her decision, she shared: "My mum wanted to give something back to society—that’s what led her to volunteer at St Ann’s in the first place, and it’s why she left a gift in her Will. The hospice relies on fundraising and donations, so I believe it’s a really good cause to support. You never know who in your life might need St Ann’s.” Help hospice care live on—for all, for now, forever. 💙 Leave a gift in your Will to St Ann’s Hospice: buff.ly/4i2kRyb

Gifts in Wills are vital to the future of hospice care, providing one third of the voluntary income hospices rely on to deliver essential support for people like Amanda’s mum, Jackie. Reflecting on her family's experience, Amanda shared: "At the time, we all thought—like many people do—that Mum going into the hospice meant it was the end of life. Without any experience, I feel that’s what people assume a hospice is." "Our perception changed instantly once we arrived at St Ann’s. Everything was explained to Mum in a way she could understand—why she was there and what they were going to do for her. Within 24 to 48 hours, she had a smile on her face. It was like a complete switch.” By leaving a Gift in your Will, you can help ensure hospices like ours continue providing compassionate, free care to hundreds of thousands of patients and families—now and in the future. 📖 Read more about Amanda’s experience and how to set up your gift here: https://lnkd.in/en9YAahA
