St Ann’s Hospice has always been a big part of Marguerite Christie’s life. Her mum was a dedicated volunteer for over three decades, from the hospice’s opening in the early 1970s. Now, Marguerite has made a lasting connection with St Ann’s by choosing to leave a gift in her Will. Reflecting on her family's experience, Amanda shared: "At the time, we all thought—like many people do—that Mum going into the hospice meant it was the end of life. Without any experience, I feel that’s what people assume a hospice is." "Our perception changed instantly once we arrived at St Ann’s. Everything was explained to Mum in a way she could understand—why she was there and what they were going to do for her. Within 24 to 48 hours, she had a smile on her face.
