  • Will you give the gift of a Christmas Wish? ❄️ St Gemma’s Hospice is a place of peace, light and love where Christmas wishes can come true with your help. 💜 £10 could help a patient staying at the hospice to have a festive meal with their loved ones. 💜 £50 could provide specialist support to a child missing their loved one. 💜 £250 could fund a visit from our community team to enable a patient to spend Christmas in the place they most wish, in their own home with those they love. Will you help to make what could be one of our patient’s final wishes come true this festive season? Please give what you can at https://lnkd.in/eRfUQBqz #ChristmasWish #GivingTuesday

As we head towards Christmas, we’re getting into the spirit of giving by supporting our chosen charity St. Gemma's Hospice 🎁🎄   Many patients at St. Gemma’s celebrate special moments, like Christmas or Birthdays during their stay. Our Leeds office got together and donated Christmas and Birthday decorations and party props 🎅🏼🎈🎉   Our donations will hopefully brighten up patients' rooms and make these celebrations special.   St Gemma’s collected our boxes yesterday and were delighted ❤

  • "I will never forget the love and care my husband received during his stay at St Gemma’s. He asked if he could have a few friends in one evening, and snacks and drinks were organised. Our friends were amazed at the care we all received. Sadly, he died the following evening. But what a gift of love we were all given." Our commitment and compassion are free, but we need to raise over £20,000 every day to run all of our services at St Gemma’s. As a charity, we can only do this with your help. Whether you sign up to one of our Santa Dash park runs or donate and dedicate to our Light Up a Life appeal, you'll be helping to support local patients and families at the most difficult time in their lives. ➡️ Find out more about our festive fundraising campaigns and events at https://lnkd.in/envsNgrJ

  • It's such a privilege to support local families, and everyone who plays Local Hospice Lottery Ltd in support of St Gemma's makes a huge contribution towards our continued care. Thank you 💜

Andrew, Spencer and Lewis's dad, passed away in 2017 when the boys were only 5 and 7. Since then, they have been supported by St. Gemma's Hospice 🫶 Mum, Clare, reflects on the support: "St Gemma's has been a lifeline for us as a family. We were safe knowing Andrew was receiving amazing care, but the wider team looked after me and the boys. The children's bereavement team was exceptional, providing individual and group activities, trips away, and allowing the boys to meet and spend time with others who were going through similar situations, seeing that they weren't the only ones and that they would be okay. They made us all feel relaxed. Having this tailored support has been fantastic, and I'm so grateful to the whole team." Playing our weekly lottery helps to enable families recently bereaved to receive compassionate support when it is needed the most 💜 If you would like to give your local community a fun way to support your hospice, find out how our regular lottery income could benefit your hospice: https://bit.ly/3qAutuz #CGAW24 #BuildingHope #ChildrensGriefAwarenessWeek
