Our vision is that everyone in our communities has support, dignity and choice when facing dying, death and grief.
About us
St Nicholas Hospice Care is here to help people live their lives to the full and improve the quality of life for all who are affected by their illness. Currently, we are celebrating our 40th year of caring for those facing dying, death and grief across West Suffolk and Thetford. We see people with any illness that is life-threatening, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and other advanced diseases such as heart or lung disease. We provide a comprehensive range of specialist palliative care services to local people and their families living with terminal illnesses. Since we began, we estimate we have supported over 50,000 families. We see around 2,000 people per year, either here at the Hospice or in a patient's own home via the Community Hospice Team. At any one time, we have 320 people on our caseload.

As many of us will be busy getting ready for the big day tomorrow, we just wanted to take a moment to share this lovely piece of art created by one of the children who has been supported by Nicky’s Way, our bereavement service for children and young people. We think you’ll agree it's a festively fitting elf and we are grateful that we can share it.
