We’re looking for some helpers this New Year! St Wilfrid’s is once again offering their TreeCycle service to the local community, collecting real Christmas trees for a suggested donation. However, as we don’t have a superfast sleigh like Santa, we are looking for some volunteer elves to help us collect real trees between the 10th and 13th January. You can do as many or as few days as you like, all in support of your local Hospice. Get involved here: https://ow.ly/Naa050Uk3JS

“What matters to our patients matters to us, and we’ll give anything a go if it helps our patient or their loved ones” - Linda, Clinical Inpatient Lead This Christmas, Linda has kindly shared a glimpse into the vital work that St Wilfrid’s does during the festive season and the incredible impact that your support could have if you donate this Christmas. Our expert care and compassion is completely free-of-charge, and as a charity, we rely heavily on the support of our local community to be able to continue to provide our vital services. This #GivingTuesday, we ask that you read Linda’s story about the difference we make and consider donating to support us this Christmas: https://ow.ly/zgXa50Uk1nk

Friday’s vote on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill marks a hugely significant change to the palliative care and hospice sector. We acknowledge the decisions of MPs and will work to understand the implications of this Bill. As ever, we will continue our efforts to provide high-quality end-of-life care to all dying people in our community, and encourage those who need it to seek our services.

🌠 Our Moonlight Walk early bird ticket sale ends on Monday! St Wilfrid’s are inviting you to join us for an evening in-memory walk, that gives you an exclusive experience of Chichester that you only get from the Moonlight Walk! By getting a ticket, you’ll get access to the beautifully lit Bishop Place Gardens (a real ‘wow’ factor from this year!), Priory Park’s Guildhall which is opened up, and be part of the wonderful community atmosphere. This is a great way to make a charitable difference, as the money you raise goes towards the running costs of the Hospice services. Anything you can raise will help the Charity fund our vital services. For example, £25 could help us to provide a bereavement support session for a loved one, caring for someone living with a terminal illness. Don’t miss our early bird discount! https://ow.ly/9WeS50UeHBt

Did you see the hard-hitting ITV programme about the funding challenges facing the hospice sector last night? Even though we have our fantastic community of supporters, we are not immune from the impact of price rises affecting all hospices. Our yearly costs are £9 million already, and set to rise by a further £240,000 due to the increase in employer National Insurance contributions. More than ever, we need the regular support of our community. As your local charity hospice, we want to be here now, and in the future, providing vital end-of-life services to local people in your area. No matter what size of donation, your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you. https://ow.ly/QpJl50UhSHB
