Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone at St Peter’s Brewery – 20 years of exceptional service from our HR Director, Hayley Scorey! 🎉 Hayley’s journey with us began in 2004, just after her 18th birthday. Starting as a receptionist, she quickly made her mark, moving into sales administration in 2008 to support our supermarket and export customers. She then bridged the gap between production and sales in a newly created production planner role. In 2018, Hayley stepped up as HR Director, embracing new challenges, completing HR training, and becoming a vital leader in our business. Now, after marrying Joe and becoming a mum to Annabelle, Hayley has returned to take on an even greater role as HR Director for Sunrise Alliance Beverages, our growing UK independent brewing group. Her 20-year journey reflects her determination, growth, and unwavering commitment. Let’s raise a glass to Hayley for everything she’s achieved. Our week ended on a bittersweet note as we said farewell to Jen Pilbrow, our Packaging Manager. Jen has been an integral part of our award-winning brewing team, a fine leader and a great team player. The sweet part is that she will be embarking on a new career that also means she can be located closer to her loved ones. Jen is part of our St Peter's family and will always be welcome. We have a job opportunity for a fit, energetic individual to join our busy production team picking, packing and delivering orders to our customers using our company vehicle. We need you to be flexible and have a can-do attitude and to be willing to use your own initiative from time to time. Amongst the duties you will perform: * Picking, packing and delivering beers to customers * Undertaking the upkeep and care of our company van * Maintaining the overall organisation and tidiness of our off-site warehouse / storage facility * Occasionally working on the packaging line or in the brewery * Assisting stock counting * General fork truck duties around our brewery site. If you have previous experience working in a warehouse setting this would be ideal. As would a licence for a fork truck. You should have an eye for detail and be committed to accuracy. And most importantly you need to be fit and able to handle heavy lifting and unloading. Finally, being a team player is paramount. Full training will be provided. The working week is Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:00. However, some flexibility will be required as the role dictates. The position is full time and permanent. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and above the national minimum wage. Benefits include a company pension, employee discount, a health and wellbeing programme as well as free onsite parking. 🍻 J O B  V A C A N C Y 🍻 A rare job opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Manager to join our friendly brewing team at St Peter’s Brewery located in Suffolk in the UK during an exciting time of expansion. We are looking for a highly organised person with an excellent eye for detail and a can-do attitude to report to our Chief Operating Officer on a full-time basis. If you are passionate about working in the beer industry, plus you are results-driven, we need you! Our minimum requirements are that you need to have at least five years’ experience leading a team in a fast-moving packaging environment and a proven track record of problem-solving. Duties will include leading our packaging team while helping manage the transition of our current packaging line to a state-of-the-art bottling, canning and kegging line. You will also be responsible for implementing and improving our quality processes to ensure that the quality of our beer is maintained at a high standard. Alongside this, you will monitor and deliver critical KPI’s such as GLY, LEF, losses, utilities usage and productivity in support of the overall strategic goals of our brewery. The safety and wellbeing of not only the packaging team, but other employees, contractors and visitors in the packaging area is also an important part of your role. And on a creative and more challenging level, you will be involved in taking the lead on technical and organisational aspects of packaging-related projects. The working week will be Monday – Friday for approximately 45 hours / week. The starting date for the position is as soon as possible.
