Case Study: Church of King Charles the Martyr This beautiful church in Tunbridge Wells had been left in a member’s will for renovation works. They were keen to invest in a new floor but there was a condition attached – that the stone was not completely full of shells. Just over a year ago, I made the move to Stamford, and I couldn’t be prouder to call this stunning town my home. While out Christmas shopping this weekend, I found myself admiring the Marshall's Yard development - seeing our Clipsham Ashlar masonry beautifully paired with reclaimed walling and bespoke steps. A quick visit to Stamford Library later in the day only deepened my appreciation for this town. It was inspiring to see how they’re educating the next generation about the very stones that make Stamford so unique and historic. If you’re planning to visit our quarries, I highly recommend taking the time to explore Stamford itself. It’s not without reason that we call it our best showroom! The town centre showcases our stone in all its glory; rich in texture, tone, and architectural heritage. Stamford is the perfect example of what we create here at Stamford Stone Co..
