Team BID were delighted to take part in Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce annual Christmas Quizmas yesterday! Landing a decent 4th place, it was brilliant to get together and support Chamber charities. Huge congrats to the winners at LilaConnect UK! Great to see so many organisations across the city get together for a great cause and great fun. Strengths: Music, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here winners, movie quotes Weaknesses: Christmas + 2024 👀🎅

We're so grateful for every business who has signed up to our annual festive collection, helping vulnerable people in the local area this Christmas. 💝 In case you missed us on BBC Radio Stoke last week, our Giving Together campaign sees us working with businesses in the community by delivering boxes to be filled with food, toys and hygiene goods. Once filled, our team sets out around the city collecting full boxes, delivering them to local food banks and charity organisations. This year, we are thrilled to be working with Tri Services Veterans Centre and Tesco Extra, who then ensure these goods go a long way for those less fortunate this Christmas. There's still time to make a difference - get involved by popping an email to hello@stokeontrentbid.co.uk 🎅

We were delighted to attend the Your Heroes Awards last night. Brilliant and worthy winners were also treated to their own Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Gift Card, funded with gladness by us at the BID. Congratulations to all those making a marvellous difference in our communities. Brand new technology - introduced this October - allows your organisation to distribute digital e-card Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Gift Cards to your staff, clients and customers using our corporate ordering site, with ease. So, instead of a Christmas reward where the benefit leaves our city, how about choosing a Christmas reward where your investment is locked into Stoke-on-Trent City Centre? A reward that minimises administration for your organisation and boosts your CSR efforts. A reward that offers unbeatable local choice - including the big brands they know and the local businesses they love: https://lnkd.in/eMENVumT

Our Ambassadors have been putting the final touches to our fabulous Christmas tree on Parliament Row with our bright BID barriers. Luckily for us, our branding is rather festive 🎁 Thank you to Stoke-on-Trent City Council for their tree-mendous work in adding the trees and lights to the city centre and Monster Mesh for our new branded barrier covers!

🎄✨ Giving Together this Festive Season 🎄✨ This year, we are beyond delighted to announce that we are once again launching our #GivingTogether campaign for 2024. We are collecting non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys to make the holidays brighter for families and individuals who need a little extra support this Christmas in our Food Bank & Toy Collection. Last year, we saw the impact of kindness, unity and generosity in the City Centre from those who took part and we hope this year will be even better - if you would like help support vulnerable people in our city, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us for more information.

We’ve checked the weather, checked it twice and unfortunately it's not due to be nice. With the team at The Potteries Centre and Interactive, we need to make necessary adjustments to our Christmas celebrations on Saturday 23 November. The high wind gusts of 30mph+ and torrential rain forecast for Saturday means that we have to alter our plans to ensure a safe and enjoyable time for all. As such, Santa’s Arrival Parade will no longer take its route through the town, instead taking place inside The Potteries Centre, starting at the Indoor Market entrance at 11am. We’ve tried our best to accommodate as much of the original event plans as possible, and with the support of our friends at PH Productions, Circus in a Box, Potteries Artisan Market and Keep It Local, we are thankfully able to relocate much of the event indoors. This includes a new stage on level 3, roaming entertainment and a centre-wide parade featuring Santa and friends. Whilst we have so been looking forward to hosting a city centre-wide event, the health and safety of all visitors, performers, market vendors and staff are of utmost priority. We hope to still see you warm and cosy inside The Potteries Centre, for what is still to be a magically festive time for all. For all the updated entertainment and parade details to take place in The Potteries Centre, see more here: Thank you for your support and understanding.
