Such a fantastic project to capture, especially as Haventus’s Ardersier Energy Transition Facility reaches its first major milestone. A pleasure to hear from Ian Cobban about the achievement.
The first major milestone in the redevelopment of Ardersier Energy Transition Facility has been delivered, one month ahead of schedule. The first 660m of new Quay Wall was successfully completed, with the final panel of the wall in place on 7 November. Our Chief Operating Officer, Ian Cobban, reflects on the achievement. Civil engineering work to develop the quayside proceeds at pace, ahead of the 2025 dredging campaign to deepen and widen the harbour to accommodate the specific needs of offshore wind component deliveries. Ardersier Energy Transition Facility will be Scotland’s largest dedicated offshore wind deployment site, capable of supporting large scale marshalling, storage, manufacturing and assembly activities. We’re proud to be supported by Quantum Capital Group, The Scottish National Investment Bank and the National Wealth Fund, formerly UK Infrastructure Bank.

The development of the Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is making good progress. Our Chief Operating Officer, Ian Cobban, provides insight into the key project milestones ahead of opening the facility in the second half of 2025, and the benefits of how the project team is approaching the construction of the new quay. The 450 acre site will be dedicated to the deployment of offshore renewables and the assembly and manufacturing of offshore wind components.
