  • "I feel like you guys saved me... I’m happy you got me through a tough time. I would have still been on the streets.”    Thanks to our Winter Services, Amelia has not had to sleep outside since, and now has her own place to call home. Will you help us support more people like Amelia, by considering donating to our Winter Appeal?  💛👇 https://ow.ly/sWym50UvQbZ

  • This Christmas Eve, we invite you to take a moment to reflect ✨  We’re pleased to share a moving poem by one of our talented residents- ‘Dreams of Sanctuary Hill’ by the Relentlessly Burdened Poet💭 We hope you enjoy💛 … Dreams of Sanctuary Hill I’d like a house on a hill with twenty-three pugs. Strong flavoured coffee in self-filling mugs. Endless resources to do what I’d like. Explore space on my space rocket bike. Find a way to make seagulls sound better. Invent the world’s first self-writing letter. Provide a quiet place where people can write, all year round come day or night. Food that prepares and cooks itself, and no matter what I eat have perfect health. A computer that types the words from my mind, and a taser that turns cruel people kind. A machine that exercises my muscles at night, on a bed that hovers while I sleep tight. To stay in my prime and live forever, be the person in the world who is the most clever. Replace all governments with life loving A.I, who’ll build a better society and homes that can fly. A telepathic monkey that reads people’s minds, and whatever I’ve lost easily finds. The thing I’d really like most of all, is an all-knowing magical ball. Not really. For global society to find a solution, to division, hate, war and pollution. -The Relentlessly Burdened Poet #poetry #cornwall #homelessness

  • Make sure to tune in! Thanks to South West Coast Path Association for your incredible support 👏

📺 Watch us on Countryfile 📺 Sunday, 29th December, 7 pm In September, our Cornwall Coast Path Connectors (CPC) hub was invited to participate in a special ‘winter walking’ episode of Countryfile, BBC ONE’s flagship programme. We were thrilled to meet the Countryfile team and walk with presenter Charlotte Smith. Although it was breezy along the clifftops of Porthtowan, we had a joyful walk. We were able to share how the CPC work is positively impacting, enabling more people to venture onto the coast path and enjoy the many mental and physical health and well-being benefits a walk in nature provides. A big thank you to our CPC partner organisations St Petrocs; The Cove Macmillan Support Centre; Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust; and our wonderful volunteers who joined us for the day. We’d also like to give a special shout-out to Roger from St Agnes Museum, who kept us entertained with the fascinating mining and maritime history of the area, hopefully, some of his stories will make the edit! 📺 You can stream the episode on Sunday, December 29th, at 7 pm. We hope you’ll tune in!
