Our Plymouth studio #refurbishment is officially complete! Located within The Millfields—a historic former Royal Naval Hospital—the refreshed design celebrates the rich maritime heritage of its surroundings, but with a playful, contemporary twist that reflects our Plymouth studio’s creative spirit. We can’t wait to welcome you to Norbury Court and share more of the story behind its transformation. https://lnkd.in/ewKYgJtn 📷 Tim Crocker

We're looking forward to attending the #FXAwards later today, where we have two projects shortlisted. Homewood Grove has been shortlisted for BTR / PRS. With an array of communal amenities including a pool, steam room, spa, and gym, the luxury integrated retirement community is the perfect place to foster a community. 👉 https://lnkd.in/e2FRNu32 LMU Skills and Simulation Centre has been shortlisted for Public Sector. The learning space transforms one floor of a former 1960s glass factory into an immersive teaching environment to prepare students for life in busy, and often pressured, medical environments. 👉https://lnkd.in/e-URaUrw Rangeford Villages | London Metropolitan University

Headed to #HOMESUK and #UnlockNetZeroLive on Wednesday? Hear Robert Delius speak on the inclusion of biodiversity net gain in our projects and why we believe in going beyond the required government targets. 👉 https://lnkd.in/ewDB6BkM
I'll be speaking at #HOMESUK and #UnlockNetZeroLive this Wednesday I'll be challenging whether 10% BnG (Biodiversity Net Gain) is a suitably aspirational requirement given the worrying UK and global state of nature. Or as some are saying, biodiversity collapse in slow motion. At Stride Treglown we're going to be encouraging our clients to target minimum 30%, which we think is achievable for most projects Hope to see you there

Congratulations to ESG Research Consultant Milly Warner on making Building Magazine's 40 Under 40 list. 🎉 With a background in social anthropology and social history, as well as a master’s in urban design and city planning, Milly has been involved in a number of research projects across the built environment. One of her ongoing projects, #ImpactAnalysis, helps us embed community insights back into the design process. Milly hopes that this work will help us to design spaces which sensitively respond to local contexts. Meet the brightest and best of construction’s next generation, and learn more about Milly's built environment journey here: https://lnkd.in/exaRgHgY #Building40Under40

Last month, Flynn Williams joined NLA’s breakfast talk, ‘Nourishing Communities' to speak about The Circular Kitchen which will support BROCKWELL PARK COMMUNITY GREENHOUSES’ (BPCG) outreach programmes on food growing and healthy eating. In this article written for NLA, Flynn explains how our London studio is bringing communities together to turn our idea for ‘a portable garden kitchen made almost entirely from repurposed materials’ into reality. Hosted by Head of Residential Jacqui Pollard, and using our recently approved 435-home Clarence Road BTR development as a backdrop, the session discussed: 🔹Whether high density can be high quality 🔹When high density is appropriate 🔹The challenges of viability Many thanks to our speakers Zoe Sharp (Dandara Living), Hannah Eshelby (Alder King Property Consultants) and Paul Haworth (Stride Treglown). Abbey Wood Travelodge, Bristol, has been shortlisted for ‘Best use of a rain screen system using glass, ceramics or stone' at the Façade Awards UK. 🏨 The project innovatively uses natural slate for its rainscreen cladding, a material more traditionally used in roofing, to create a bold, modern aesthetic. “We wanted the two interlocking volumes of the hotel to be easily distinguishable. The dark, uniform colouration of the natural slate, combined with its rough texture, really helps to set it apart from the coloured aluminium panels.” – JUAN LÓPEZ, Associate Architect. Good luck to Juan and the project team for the awards ceremony tomorrow. CUPA PIZARRAS | A20 #FacadeAwards

“We can play at tweaking business as usual, but what's really needed is some bold, big-scale thinking. We need built environment professionals to sell the vision of a truly ecologically regenerative future - that's good for nature, good for people and good for business." – Robert Delius, Head of Sustainability You can catch Rob speaking on the importance of incorporating nature into our developments at the Biophilic Design Conference next week. 🌻 “Future Proofing Cities with Biophilic Design” 📅 12th November @ 14.10 📍 The Barbican, London Find out more about the conference and grab your ticket here ☞ https://lnkd.in/ex6sWvup
