We are always blown away with the generosity of our community. Recently, Zhyar from RevisePharma® came up with a fantastic way to raise funds for charity by asking for a £1 donation for his online seminars over the course of a week. The money raised was split between several charities, and we’re thrilled that Stripey Stork was one of the chosen beneficiaries. Having been made aware of the importance of being able to provide a safe place to sleep for children referred to us, he purchased ten brand new cots and mattresses and delivered them directly to our warehouse. On top of that, with the money left over, he also donated items to support our School Days project, ensuring children have the essentials they need for their education. Last week we kicked off the new year with a insightful poverty awareness workshop for our staff team hosted by Tom and Yssy from The Good Company. This session not only deepened our understanding of the challenges faced by the families we support but also encouraged us to reflect on how we can better integrate lived experience into every aspect of our work. It was a timely reminder that at the heart of everything we do is a family that needs our support. We are well stocked for everything else https://lnkd.in/eGN9rGWE By following these simple steps, you can save us a lot of time and help process donations faster : - Only bring clothing that is freshly washed and in good conditions - Sort clothes by age and gender and put them in separate bags - Clean all equipment - Include manuals and all fixings/spare parts for cots, prams and other equipment - Check all toys work and puzzles and games are complete Sometimes there are items that we can't accept due to reasons beyond our control. Happy New Year! Our team are back after a well deserved break and are ready to get back to it. As we sort through donations, we have identified an 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 for 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝟮-𝟯, 𝟲-𝟳, 𝟳-𝟴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟴-𝟵. If you have any clothing in these sizes please bring them to our Reigate warehouse (51a Albert Road North, Reigate, RH2 9EL) Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm. To make the process smoother, we would greatly appreciate it if you could separate items by age so we can quickly prepare clothing packs for the families in need.
