In Q3 2024, #yieldenhancement products dominated in markets like Germany & Austria (74%), the UK (76%) and France (62%) while #capitalprotection was dominant in Belgium (100%), Ireland (91%), Eastern Europe (82%) and Iberia (88%). Italy demonstrates a strong preference for #capitalprotection (67%) but also significant #yieldenhancement activity (32%). Finland shows the most diverse mix, with notable shares in #yieldenhancement (38%), #capitalprotection (29%) and CLNs (21%) alongside some non-protected #participation (13%). More than 87% of #discount #certificates generated a positive return in 2023, according to a report commissioned by the German BSW – Bundesverband für strukturierte Wertpapiere. In November, #structuredproducts striking in the #uk market were linked to just three different #underlying asset classes: single equity indices, baskets of equity indices, #interestrates.
