About us

A creative hospitality studio since 1995. From The End to Evelyn’s Table, we have always tried to create places we dream about, places we want to go to, a scene. Where our passions have gone, so have our desires to make something. We begin with an idea, and then look to build an identity. Through a journey of rigorous inquiry, learning, design, research, operational challenges, we land at a narrative and so it begins… Studio Paskin was founded by siblings Zoë & Layo Paskin, who have built a portfolio of venues and concepts that have spanned modern culture - a Michelin star, two Michelin Bib Gourmands, DJ Mag Outstanding Contribution to Clubland, record labels, headline act, an Ivor Novello and GQ’s Innovators of the Year to name a few. Our success is a result of following the things we believe in and the talented group of people who work and collaborate with us. We welcome you to be part of it.

At the heart of what we do is creating spaces where everyone feels comfortable and at ease—whether they're joining us for a quick pre-theatre dinner or celebrating a milestone with a private hire at one of our venues.   The wonderful Lauren Gibbons and our teams on-site have been busy transforming our spaces into unforgettable settings for special occasions. Here’s just a glimpse of the feedback we’ve received recently, particularly from The Blue Posts:   ⭐ 'The staff were fun and attentive, the music was perfect for the vibe we wanted to create. Our guests were very impressed and felt well looked after. Thanks to Lauren Gibbons and the team on site x.'   ⭐ 'Just wanted to thank you and the great team you had on the night. We've had really good feedback and it was a perfect setting for our event. Hope to come back soon.'   ⭐ 'I wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the team for hosting us on Sunday night. The guests absolutely loved the venue, drinks, and nibbles, and I hugely appreciated the effort that went into setting up, from the tealights, to your help with the micro branding details, to accommodating our guests drinks requests, the whole team was exceptional.'   Our teams are going above and beyond to make everyone's vision come true—and there’s still time to plan your festive celebration with us. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a grand event, we’d love to host your special occasion this season.   Get in touch to start planning the perfect private hire at events@studiopaskin.com 🥂

In hospitality, the festive season is about more than just celebrations – it’s a chance to give back. Every day, our teams pour their hearts into welcoming, serving, and cooking for everyone who walks through our doors. We’ve partnered with StreetSmart through many holiday seasons since we opened The Palomar in 2014, joining hundreds of restaurants in extending our hospitality beyond our venues to raise vital funds for homeless and vulnerable people across the UK.    Last year alone, all participating restaurants raised £1,058,000 in November and December. We're proud to be contributing to their invaluable efforts once again this year. 🎄

⭐ INTRODUCING: our Studio Paskin Spotlight Series ⭐ Every couple of weeks we will shine a light on the brilliant people working hard across our venues and behind the scenes. First up is Florencia Alberti, our fantastic Kitchen Manager. She's a paperwork powerhouse, taking care of back-of-house duties across The Palomar, The Barbary Neal's Yard and Notting Hill, and leading our kitchens in service when and where she's needed. October marked Flori's 5th anniversary with us, so we've asked her a few questions to take her down memory lane. 🎊   🔹How has the company changed since you joined? There's been a lot of changes! I think The Mulwray wine bar is one of the best things we've done… I love going there. My position has changed, of course. I started as a CDP at The Palomar and progressed to Sous Chef, taking on a lot of back-office work on the way. The paperwork increased with the new opening in Notting Hill, so I stepped up to Kitchen Manager to keep on top of it across our restaurants. One of my biggest projects this year has been setting up our new food safety system at The Barbary Notting Hill.   🔹Where does your passion for hospitality come from? It started at home. For me, hospitality means to make people feel happy and welcome. Since I was a kid, I liked to cook for all the birthdays and celebrations in my family, making everything from scratch. I never considered it a career until I watched a movie called No Reservations - it made me realise that cooking could allow me to travel and see the world.   🔹What are you most proud of in your career so far? Moving to Europe from Argentina to start my career and being able to leave my family and friends behind. I never imagined I’d end up in London, having achieved so much: being in charge of such a successful kitchen, leading a team, having all this responsibility.    🔹Your must-try dish on the menu at The Palomar, past or present? Oh, that’s a very difficult question. Past, I'd say Masahane probably was my favourite dish! It’s a beef and lamb kofta kebab with aubergine cream, stuffed in pita bread with roast vegetables like tomatoes and onions.   Present, the cucumber salad was a huge surprise. How it tastes, something so simple – I think it’s delicious!

Celebrations are in order this week, as we welcome the first wine of the year from the French Beaujolais region at The Mulwray.   Beaujolais Nouveau, a young Gamay grape wine from Beaujolais, is one of the few wine varieties that is enjoyed in the same year it’s produced—with Beaujolais Nouveau Day marking the first day it hits shelves.   This Thursday, November 21st, our fantastic Isabelle and Shefali from the wine team at The Blue Posts will be pouring this year’s delicious Beaujolais Nouveau and other favourite bottles from the region in our little corner of Soho.   A big shout-out to Assistant Bar Manager Maya from The Blue Posts for designing the poster for the event.   We’re ready to raise a glass (or two) and toast to the season—hope to see you there! 🥂 Book your table here. https://lnkd.in/eq-gHygV
