Coil Method Carbon Potential Analyser SSi CAT100 The CAT100 instantly calculates the Carbon Potential (CP%) by measuring the electrical resistance of a steel coil after it has been soaked in the furnace atmosphere for 30-40 minutes. A simple routine is followed for easy compliance to CQI-9 daily check requirement: Insert the coil into the furnace, allow for adequate soaking and install on the CAT100. Gas Sampling Tube for Fixed Gas Analysers SSi Gas Analysis Sample Tube The key to continuous gas sampling, especially when that sample used is a control or verification variable of the carbon potential control system, is maintaining clean and dry tubing, pumps, filters, and sensors. The SSi sample tube contains an inner ceramic tube so that methane, propane (or any other hydrocarbon) does not catalyse in the tube. This can affect accuracy of samples and create soot blockages. The outer tube is RA330 alloy which will last up to 5 years in pit, sealed quench, and continuous furnaces. We have designed three models for various applications.
