🔴 Supply chain disruption is now effectively the de facto operating model, the once much talked about ‘new normal’. 🔴 Although risk management was always a part of the conversation, prior to that defining moment in history - 2020's Covid-19 Pandemic, many took a laisse affair approach, with a sudden escalation of concern and prioritisation in the wake of a crisis. 🔴 Once the waters calmed, and competitive pressures resurfaced, risk management was quickly traded for cost reductions to drive competitive advantage. 🕰️ How 4 years has changed the landscape! 🔎 https://lnkd.in/eDVfV3rR #Suppeco #SRM #CustomerOfChoice

🟥 What Executes Operationally Every Time? 🟩 Answer: A Boardroom Mandate. Let's take a short and targeted look at ESG – namely in this case CSR and operational "shop floor” audit compliance. The increase in legislation around Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) brings a heightened responsibility to ensure compliance within our supply chain operations - down on the shop floor, where it counts. Here's an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) CSR mini case study: ✅ https://lnkd.in/eqqwdDrE #Suppeco #SRM #CSR #Sustainability

Generating Savings from Cost-Based Strategies is a Process of Diminishing Returns. ⚠️ Competitive advantage does not come from merely cutting cost. ⚠️ Geopolitical hostility, the cost-of-living crisis, an energy crisis, the drive to net-zero. Lots to take on board - companies must consider multiple disruptive, and strategic scenarios, whilst planning for the next three-five years. 📊 Planning 3-5 years ahead requires top-line exploration. 🚀 Suppeco works with Microsoft to supercharge value for our customers, transforming supplier relations into strategic assets. 🌐 3 years ago 95% of all Apple products were made in China. In 2025, it looks more like c75% made in China. Not quite sure how that's gonna resonate with impending Tariffs. Perhaps a 25% reduction of tariff charge at point of sale! 🌐 Arizona-based onsemi, a $31 billion manufacturer of power semiconductors with operations in over a dozen countries including India, Malaysia, and Vietnam offsets its products across two completely distinct supply chains within the one company. 📊 Two very different approaches. Making sweeping changes to any complex operation can pose huge challenges and risks, leaving value chains exposed and potentially paralysed. But there is a better, more pragmatic way. By addressing challenges and approaching opportunities incrementally, whilst prioritising operational stability, companies are able to adopt a more probing, exploratory stance without risking additional and self-inflicted disruption. Suppeco supports this approach by enabling improved customer-supplier advanced collaboration into areas of strategic change, whilst in parallel maintaining focus on the day-to-day realities of complex operations. ⚠️ Can Anyone Win a Supply Chain Zero-Sum Game? In the context of supply chain disruption, a zero-sum game applies where there are limited resources to address the disruption, and where one organisation’s efforts to mitigate the impact of the disruption on their own operations, results in those same resources being unavailable to other organisations. In this case, one organisation’s gain in maintaining or restoring their supply chain, effectively comes at the expense of others rendered unable to access those same finite resources. Crucially however from Sustainability’s perspective, in order for one party to win, every one has to lose. Question: If for one party to win every party has to lose - can any party actually win? 🌐 https://lnkd.in/eC2-FXdM #Suppeco #supplychain #Sustainability #Collaboration #ZeroSum

The Additional Value of Live Narrative in SRM. 📢 Customer proof points are so much more reliable: 🗨️ KPIs flag alerts, however, jointly underpinning those with narrative, we're now able to see the approach being taken in real time to resolve issues and to track and score those processes too." “This enables us to acknowledge progress made behind the scenes and sends a very different and more motivating message to our teams and partners than just reacting to a red flag after the fact. 💬 Customer case study snippet. 👇 Customer Quote on Data Efficiency. 🤿 "We’re Drowning in Data! We have multiple screens, dashboards, scorecards, and spreadsheets!" 🖥️ "Yes it’s all important - yes we love the data - we just don’t want it all at once! We want as much data in front of us as we can handle at any one time! Otherwise we miss things." ⁉ Sound familiar? We hear that a lot. There's a better way. ⁉️When you think about digital transformation do you think of SRM? The digital transformation of relationships is increasingly on the critical path for organisations. Companies such as: ⏩ Those operating non-stop global supply chain ecosystems. ⏩ Those navigating today’s turbulent landscape in a state of permacrisis. ⏩ Those rigorously assessing their long term survivability and planning for the next 3 – 5 years of trading. ⏩ Companies like yours. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/emxKhH2p #Suppeco #digitaltransformation #supplychain #SRM #relationships

Let’s take a look at tariffs. Tariffs are essentially taxes that are imposed on imported goods. Tariffs have long been used as tools to enforce economic policy, to protect domestic industry or to respond in trade disputes. In the supply chain, the implications of applying tariffs can ripple through industries and economies in ways that extend far beyond the initial tariffed goods.
