Our Survival Technology proved critical in saving six crew members after the Odyssey FR70 fishing vessel sank in the North Sea. The crew deployed two of our 8-man Survitec RFD liferafts, spending over two hours aboard before being rescued by a nearby fishing vessel. They expressed gratitude for our equipment's reliable performance during this life-threatening situation. 🎂🍰 Flour, Fun, and Fundraising: Dunmurry’s Bake Off Challenge 🍰🎂 Over the past 10 weeks, our Dunmurry colleagues, with aprons on, whipped up an incredible array of sweet treats for our office Bake Off competition. Each week, our office transformed into the most exquisite cake shop, with tray bakes, Victoria sponges, cupcakes and more presented with a different theme. Each week a new Star Baker was crowned! What makes this even sweeter is that the competition raised over £700 for the Children's Heartbeat Trust – supporting families of children and young people with heart disease in Northern Ireland. 💖 A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and supported this fantastic initiative. Our Survival Technology was vital in evacuating 22 passengers and crew from the ferry MF Stord. A fire broke out in the engine room during its Lavik-Oppedal route in Norway’s Sognefjorden. Firefighters airlifted combated the blaze while the crew swiftly evacuated passengers to safety. Passengers and crew successfully evacuated using our Brude KOPAS Marine Evacuation System (MES), after which a rescue boat transported them ashore. We are relieved to report that there were no injuries. This story is a testament to the dedication of our colleagues who make these life-saving solutions possible, and recognition goes out to those involved for making this operation a success. We won the Best New Journey award at the Enboarder Journey of the Year Awards 2024! 🏆   Over the past year we revitalised our onboarding experience for new colleagues joining the team Trusted to Protect Lives.    Judges noted that in just a few months, we set the benchmark for effectively communicating purpose, vision, and values to new colleagues before their first day.
